Criteria

 

First Phase adopts a rigorous and hands on approach in targeting niche, undervalued opportunities for Investment Partners.

 

Through working closely with its Investment Partners, First Phase has an excellent understanding of the types of projects which are attractive to funders and likely to qualify for funding.

 

The emphasis is on maximising returns for its Investment Partners by working consultatively with the Developer of the project through each stage of the development cycle.

 

We are distinctive in having "full life cycle" development experience, often meaning we can be involved from inception to completion of the project, even assisting a Developer with his exit if necessary.

 

Whilst this is by no means an exhaustive list as funding lines wax and wane, the list below gives an indication of the criteria looked at within projects.

 

1) Macroeconomics:

 

Broadly speaking, countries which show the following macroeconomic trends appeal to our Investment Partners:

 

  • Rapid population growth

  • Strong GDP / Capital Growth

  • Rising disposable incomes of local population

  • Structural shifts in spending patterns

  • Growth of changing patterns of tourism demand

  • New Infrastructure spending or government projects

  • FDI driven opportunities

 

2) Specific Target Markets:

 

Whilst not exclusively, First Phase has specific interest in projects in "Premier" markets & in the newly emerging "Frontier" market countries.
